Supercar Financing: Options, Costs & Tips

Supercar financing explained by a lender: your options, what it really costs to own one, and how Rizz Lending's amortized terms work.

Steve Brownlee · February 2, 2026

The price on the windshield is only the start of what a supercar costs. Before you pick a loan, know the whole bill.

What supercar financing is

It's a loan built for a car a bank doesn't know how to price. That means a Ferrari, Lamborghini, McLaren, a Porsche GT car or something rarer. The lender has to understand the car's market, not just your credit. That's our whole business at Rizz Lending in Riverton, Utah. See what we finance on the Vehicles page.

Your options

Lease. The lowest commitment, but you don't own it and the miles are capped.

Short bank loan. If a bank will do it at all, expect 60 to 72 months and a big payment.

Specialist loan with a long amortization. Rizz Lending loans spread monthly payments over 120, 180 or 240 months. They are not 20-year loans: each loan matures at 84 months, and at that point the remaining balance (a balloon payment) is due. The borrower can pay it off, apply to refinance it or sell the car. There is no prepayment penalty.

Lease buyout or cash-out refinance. If you already have the car, we can buy out your lease or pull equity out.

What we need from you

  • Credit: typically a 700+ FICO.
  • Down payment: at least 20%, and up to 40% depending on the car, the borrower and the loan amount.
  • Luxury SUVs such as the Cullinan, Urus, G-Class, Bentayga and Range Rover typically need at least 30% down because they depreciate faster.
  • Amount financed: $80,000 minimum, up to $1M+.
  • Use: personal use only. No rentals, Turo, ride-share or livery.

The real cost of ownership

Budget for these before you sign:

  • Insurance. Get a quote on the exact VIN early. It can surprise you.
  • Maintenance. Some models need expensive major services on a schedule. Ask a specialist what's coming up.
  • Tires and brakes. Performance tires wear fast, and carbon-ceramic brakes are costly to replace.
  • Sales tax and registration. These depend on your state.
  • The balloon at month 84. Plan for it now.

Tips

Have the car inspected by a specialist. Negotiate the price before you talk about the payment. Make extra principal payments when you can; there's no penalty. And try a few terms on our Borrow Smart calculator before you commit.
